My Story
There is a beautiful and mysterious place in the Southern Indian mountains called Satyaloka Monastery, where an order of enlightened monks (male and female) used to dwell. Madhu Sai was in the first order among those monks. In 1995, after completing his engineering degree, he entered the order alongside his mother, at the age of 24. He became deeply involved in Master Sri Bhagavan’s mission around the world and was subsequently blessed with receiving Bhagavan’s support, guidance, and teachings that contributed greatly to Madhu Sai’s inner liberation.

His Spiritual Teachers
Acharya Sri Sankara Bhagavadpada and Master Sri Jiddu Krishnamurti were two other selfless Masters who captivated Madhu Sai’s heart. Acharya Sankara introduced him to the teachings of Krishnamurti, along with the Adviatic teachings, Vedic Astrology, and Amanaska Yoga. Madhu Sai is deeply grateful to his living Masters, as well as to all of his Advaitic and contemporary Masters, for their priceless, distinctive teachings and guidance, which have all proven to be profoundly beneficial to him along his spiritual Journey. Madhu Sai continues his self-study and works nearby, and collaborates with Acharya Sankara’s mission.

Background
Coming from an Orthodox Hindu family, Madhu Sai started learning Hindu texts such as Bhagavad Gita from his grandparents and parents during his childhood. He participated in various traditional rituals at home, visited temples, participated in cultural festivals, and went on pilgrimages. After the sudden passing of his father (due to a massive heart attack) in 1990, Madhu Sai immersed himself in working on his innermost self. Over the next few years, with the help and guidance of his Master, he underwent a spiritual transformation and experienced several fundamental realizations. He explored, experimented, experienced, and was able to expand his philosophical and religious outlooks, as well as broaden his understanding in the areas of mental, emotional, and spiritual life, by way of Self-Knowing and Self-Realization. He has traveled extensively and studied other ancient cultures around the world. He understands people’s minds from various backgrounds and is passionate about helping people improve their mental and spiritual health.

His Spiritual Journey
He has conducted several retreats throughout India and both North and South America, focusing on inner transformation and enlightenment, God-realization, discovery of unconditional love, perfecting relationships, inner self-awareness, and awakening to the Divine Universal energy. He has served as a spiritual guide to many spiritual teachers and has assisted thousands of individuals and families from the West through intensive training so that they may complete their initiation at Satyaloka. Fluent in many languages, Madhu Sai has opened meditation centers in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, the USA, Nigeria, and Ghana, and has piloted many programs in Universities and Corporations. Madhu Sai completed his training in Applied Psychology and Counselling and is a Professional Counsellor (RPC-C). He is also an expert Yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) and a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), with extensive experience in autoimmune diseases, trauma release, and mental health. As a SMART Recovery Facilitator, he facilitates meetings and programs for recovery and mental well-being. Madhu Sai’s enthusiasm is contagious and operates as a teaching vehicle in its own right.
The focus of Madhu Sai’s teachings on Advaita Sutras, Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Upanishads, is to educate on the application of universal principles and yogic practices. He guides individuals and groups toward discovering their highest level of consciousness by promoting self-inquiry and yogic practices, which can lead to deeper self-knowledge. He supports the mental wellness of others while cultivating a deeper awareness of their inner selves, and awakening them to their true potential energy, and establishing a superior connection to their Higher Self, or ATMA (which is the essence of all life). He hopes to usher others along the path of One Consciousness and profound spiritual connection

Coming to Canada
In May of 2012, Madhu Sai came to Kamloops, BC, for the first time to give a public talk at Thompson Rivers University. Immediately upon landing, he instantly fell in love with the land and felt at home. Kamloops is surrounded by gorgeous mountains and the great Thompson River, which flows through the middle of the city. He immediately felt welcomed, grounded, connected, and supported by Mother Nature and the land. After travelling to over 15 countries in 20 years, in April of 2015, he and his family decided to move to Kamloops and began to call it their home. Madhu Sai lives here with his wife and only daughter.
