I was lying on a bed at a doctor’s clinic after some treatment. Suddenly I felt impatient and said to myself, “I am going to stay with it”. Immediately the impatience became frustration, which turned into fear. As I stayed in my consciousness, the fear became intense. Then I thought, “Oh… I need to get away from this consciousness to experience peace”. When I tried to reach the other side of fear, nothing happened. It dawned to me that I cannot change the experience as I’ve only one consciousness. How many of us think that we need to change our consciousness? We can’t move from one consciousness to another. We experience everything in only one consciousness. When we are aware of our fear, without moving away and trying to change it, then that fear dissipates, and we experience peace or silence in the same consciousness. We have dual experiences, some positive and others negative. Many times, we dismiss the negative ones or try to change them. We always are told to put effort to change what we experience. So, we try to ignore, dismiss, or hide the unpleasant experiences.
At the Happyness center our main aim is to help you develop mindfulness and deeper inner awareness of the ego-self. We passively listen and enquire rather than act from the noisy activity of the mind.
Come join us at the Happyness Center Online for our Monthly Meditation, Sunday February 28th, as we explore our whole consciousness and build inner awareness. We all lead busy lives, and meditation can help us relax and renew. We will share, learn, and practice together. Group meditations has many advantages that can reinforce our desires of daily practice that inspires us and others.
